The chilly evenings we've been having for the past couple of nights has been a welcome change. Summer is almost coming to an end. Which got me thinking the other day, I need a pair of black ballet flats for fall. Serendipitously, my friend, Ila, emailed me a link that morning to a pair of black Prada Bow Ballet Flat. I was instantly smitten. But being the cheapskate that I am, I'm not going buy a pair of flats for more than $100! So now, I'm obsessed with finding the pair of black flats that is 1) chic, 2) comfortable 3) reasonably priced.
I like the the sparkly jewel embellishments on these snakeskin flats from Steve Madden and Sam Edelman...
I'm also considering this cap-toe flats from Penny Loves Kenny because of its uncanny resemblance to the bejeweled cap-toe Miu Miu flats.
What do you think?
If there's anyone out there who can suggest other fabulous (and affordable) pairs I would really appreciate your help.

Girls, you're not helping! :P What about the other pairs of shoes I posted? What do you think of them? The Pradas will only stay in my fantasy shoe closet :(
trix!! just came across your blog thru mikka's. i wish i was as diligent as you two in writing!! my last post has been forever :)
hey it might not be the style or brand you're after but am also forever on the lookout for decent black flats and came across the most comfortable ever from tory burch! just bought one while i was in NYC - it's called caroline. it's slightly sporty and a bit pricey but it's really so comfy (you can go to toryburch.com and search the site :))
i miss you guys!!

Hey Pat! Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, i do love the Tory Burch flats but as I've said, I can't fathom buying shoes more than $100. You were in NYC? How was your trip? Was it for work or holiday?
yes, it was a splurge but i justified it by considering it a "travel" buy! =P bad i know. but i've been using it everyday and i'm really loving the comfort :)
was in NY for work... still trying to get over jet lag :) will you be home for the holidays?
