bauble challenge: day four

Today was still gloomy. I had to do some light layering because it was a bit chilly too. And when I have to layer, I look to Jenna Lyons for some inspiration. I make sure I incorporate different textures and pair something tomboy with something very feminine. In this case, a button down camp shirt and a sparkly cropped cardigan. I added more sparkle to the outfit with a three-strand crystal necklace from my mom.

Jenna Lyons, president and executive creative director of J. Crew, is my ultimate style hero. Her style is really a study in contrast - mixing utilitarian staples with sparkly, glittery pieces.

She has inspired me to look at my closet in a different way and come up with excting ensembles using existing pieces that I wouldn't have otherwise thought would go well together.

I am totally channeling Jenna's tomboy chic look for spring!
